I hope everyone had a great weekend and spent lots of quality time with family and friends. We will continue to schedule one conference a day. There will continue to be no conferences scheduled for Friday's.
Many of you ask what can you do to assist your child at home. I can not stress the importance of READING every night and recording thinking. The students have questions and stop an jots in their journals to support their learning and any conversations you can conduct during and after reading.
ELA Writing: Tuesday, March 6
ELA Reading: Friday, April 20 and Monday, April 23
Science: Tuesday, May 1 and Wednesday, May 2
Math: Thursday, May 10 and Friday, May 11
i-Ready Morning Academy is available for 5th grade students on Thursday mornings.

Current Writing Skills
WRITING FSA MARCH 5TH!
**Please begin to review with your student what each paragraph in the 5 paragraph essay consists of. They should be able to rattle off what's inside an introduction, a body/middle paragraph, and a conclusion. Students should be able to identify the difference between an opinion prompt and informational prompt and what the different content will be depending on the prompt. They all should have a checklist from the beginning of the year as well as in their notes that needs to be memorized in order to help them when it comes time to take the Writing FSA.
Museum Project are due February 28th. Dont forget our Pancake Wax Museum show case March 1st. Our class needs for the event are as follows: Pancake mix, the kind that ask for water only please, bottle water, syrup, plates, napkins, plastic forks and knives. The event will begin at 8:45AM and end at 9:45AM.
